The Truist Foundation Fellowship for US Business Owners (Fully-funded)

 The Truist Foundation Fellowship, powered by Watson Institute, is a 16-week programme that offers technical training, immediately useful business skills, and financial literacy to nonprofit founders, entrepreneurs, and small business owners so they can have a greater positive impact on the communities they support by fostering job growth and economic development. Individuals in Georgia's rural and urban emerging markets who serve or have an impact on them are eligible for this fellowship.

Details

The weekly programming for this 16-week programme runs from February 11 to May 30.
The programme begins with an engaging 1-day in-person experience in Atlanta, Georgia. The immersion will run from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. ET on February 11, 2023.
The weekly time commitment for the 14 weeks is roughly 12–14 hours, with a combination of in-person and online programming.
This Fellowship must host a Basecamp programme, which is a 3-day intense event. A $1,000 stipend is given to each fellow to help with the execution of Basecamp activities.
Attend the Summit, the Fellowships' culminating event, when Fellows make pitches to area businesses, funders, and leaders.
For their business initiative, fellows can get up to $6,000 in starting money.

Eligibility

are leaders of nonprofits, small-business owners, or entrepreneurs with 1 to 5 years of experience running organisations that promote economic growth in underserved and underbanked communities.
Can fully dedicate themselves to the 16-week Fellowship and to holding a 3-day Basecamp in their neighbourhood.
possess a venture or business that has shown momentum and effect.
are strengthening their local communities by fostering job growth, worker development, and economic development.

Program Elements

The Truist Foundation Fellowship gives Fellows the tools and knowledge they need to support the ongoing growth and impact of their venture through award-winning training, dedicated mentoring, and a strong peer community.

Applications

The Watson Institute staff will provide training sessions, distribute the Watson Institute Basecamp course materials, and offer a $1,000 stipend to assist in preparing and executing this event. Through their training, fellows have the ability to customise Basecamp's structure and results to the targeted participant group.
The deadline to apply is January 15th, 2023.
